Quick Morning Hairstyle Tips

Growing up with six sisters, there was a lot of competition for bathroom time in the morning. We were always finding creative ways to get mirror space and  make our hair a hit. The biggest challenge was finding ways to get our hair done quick while making it cute. We often turned to hair style videos on Youtube for help!

Cute Girls Hairstyles is an awesome Youtube Channel for hair style tips. The above video comes from their 3-minute hairstyles section and my sisters and I love it! Here are a few things my family has learned over the years about a quick hair styling one there years!

Spruced-up Ponytails

A pony tail is always a great go-to for a quick get away in the morning, but it doesn’t always have to be the same. Adding one simple step to your ponytail routine could be make your hair look complete and amazing. One suggestion we have is using unique ponytail holders. We love using scrunchies and bows to spruce up our ponytail looks!

I asked my husband what his favorite ponytail modification was and her said, “I love when you make the ponytail disappear and have those little pieces around your face!”. To translate, he is talking about simply wrapping hair around the ponytail holder and securing it with a bobby pin. Having a few pieces framing your face in the front is a great way to give yourself a more stylized ponytail as well!

Braids Braids Braids

Do you ever have those mornings where your hair could pass except for the front section? I have those days all the time and my simple solution is… A small French braid! I get so many compliments when I simply braid the front of my hair back, and the good news is, it takes me about 2 minutes!

Does all the hair need help? No worries, I like to think about Elsa from Frozen. Her hair was all the rave when that movie came out and it is simply a teased French braid. My sisters and I use this go to a lot on busy days. It is a great way to keep your hair out of your face and give your the style you need!

Night Time Prep

There are countless things you can do to your hair at night that make your hair easier to do in the mornings. My mom was always a fan of rag curls. Would cut up plastic grocery sacks, wrap our hair around them and go to bed. In the morning, our hair was curly and beautiful within minutes! To this day, I still use this overnight curling technique and get amazing results!

One common overnight hairstyle is braiding. Have you ever seen someone with beautiful flow hair and asked them how they did it? They might have replied “I just braided it last night!”. This is a great way to get to bed quickly at night and get your day started in the morning!
